After one of our TV menus gave out in a power surge this summer, we decided a chalk would be more sustainable and all around easier for guests to read. The challenge, that’s a lot of words and chalking. Many thx to team member @libby_bess24 for a beautiful job, designing and chalking. We’re excited to bring you a few new menu items this fall and look forward to serving you.
Cheers!

On Juneteenth, we recognize, the day in 1865 when news of emancipation finally reached the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth is a powerful reminder that freedom was delayed for far too many—and that the work of justice, equity, and liberation continues today.
At The Freedom Café, we join our community in honoring the legacy of those who fought for freedom and continue to do so today. Let this be a day of remembrance, celebration, and renewed commitment to building a world free from all forms of exploitation and oppression.
